Workshop on Digital Analysis of Flow Processes in Porous Materials for GeoEnergy Applications (Digi-GeoEnergy)

Start date: 13 March 2025
End date: 14 March 2025
All-day event
Location: Heriot-Watt University

Join us for a workshop on Digital Analysis of Flow Processes in Porous Materials at Heriot-Watt University from 13-14 March 2025!

Details: Digital analysis has gained substantial attention due to its ability to provide unique data that cannot be achieved by traditional experimental and modelling techniques. These digital methods can be applied to a wide range of porous media-related problems, such as contaminant transport in soils, batteries, electrolysers, and fuel cells, making them highly versatile. This workshop will specifically focus on geo-energy applications, such as underground H2 and CO2 storage, and geothermal systems, and will cover topics related to X-ray tomography, experimental methods, numerical modelling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
